Ships built from 1939 to 1945
Henry Robb shipbuilders were prolific builders of naval ships of war for the Admiralty during the war years from 1939 until the end of the war in late 1945.
Many fine vessels were built and repaired in the Leith Shipyards, including (Flower and Castle) Corvettes, (River, Loch and Bay Class) Frigates, Rescue/Salvage Tugs, Tank Landing Craft, Armed Trawlers and Minesweepers along with commercial orders which also had to be fulfilled.
This was at a time when the yard had a total of eight building berths all able to launch direct into the Sea.
On each ships page will be a history button, you will find all the known details of the ship here.
Also you will find on each ships page the stories from the men and women who sailed on the ships. |
