J. Bolson & Son Ltd Shipyards

While some of the main shipbuilding centres are well known we also like to feature some of the perhaps less well known shipyards in the British Isles.

This feature is about the J. Bolson & Son Ltd Shipyard in Poole, Dorset.

Many shipyards were situated all around the British Isles and they built some very fine ships and employed thousands of people in the time that they were in the business of shipbuilding.

The following photographs were all sent into the Leith Shipyards website by ex-Draughtsman John Kink and are shown here by permission.
